Trial and licensing
Kyvenza comes with a 7-day trial that is not feature-limited. Everything a Pro license unlocks is available during the trial, including unlimited VMs, cloning, and diagnostics export. There is no free tier — when the trial ends, you need a license to keep using the app.

Exact features may change between versions — see the About tab in Settings for what your install supports.
When the trial ends
Without an active license, VM operations stop. You can still open Kyvenza and enter a key in Settings → License, but creating, starting, cloning, and managing VMs are all blocked until the app is licensed.
Your VMs stay where they are. Nothing is deleted when the trial lapses, and everything becomes available again the moment you activate a key.
What a Pro license covers
Kyvenza uses a Perpetual Fallback License. Your key unlocks every version released on or before its Updates Until date, and your right to keep using those covered versions does not expire.
To check: open Settings → License and compare Updates Until with This Version Released on the About tab. If the installed build was released on or before that date, it is covered.
We only distribute the latest build of Kyvenza. Older installers are not published — security fixes and critical bug fixes only land in new releases, and we do not want people running known-broken versions. If the newest build is past your Updates Until, you have two options:
- Keep using your currently installed covered version — it will keep working.
- Renew or extend your license to move to the newest build.
If you need to reinstall a covered version you have already been running and no longer have the installer, contact support@kyvenza.com.
Buying a license
Visit kyvenza.com for current pricing and purchase options.
Applying a license
- Open Settings → License.
- Paste your license key.
- Click Activate. Kyvenza validates the key online on first activation.
One device at a time
Each key can be active on one Mac at a time. To move to a different Mac, first remove the license in Settings → License on the current device.
Moving a license to a new Mac
Each key is valid on one Mac at a time. Follow these steps to move it:
- On the old Mac, open Settings → License and click Remove License from this Device. This frees the key.
- On the new Mac, install Kyvenza, finish onboarding, then open Settings → License and paste the same key.
If the old Mac is lost, stolen, or otherwise unreachable, email support@kyvenza.com from the address used at purchase and we'll help you regain access.
